A member asked:

If a corpus luteal cyst doesn't go away after a menstrual period, does that mean your pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually: The persistent corpus luteum is important for maintaining an early pregnancy. The can be bleeding or hemorrhage into a corpus luteum and this can take a while to resolve and would not necessarily mean you were pregnant. If you are concerned the safest thing would be to check a home pregnancy test.
