Medical Studentitis: Omg. I didn't have ocd but when i was in med school i wondered if i had each disease as i studied it. It looks like you are already on an antidepressant. Would encourage you to look into cognitive behavioral therapy. It is a good way to use your intellect to help dissipate your fears. I would do it soon. Otherwise you will be spending precious energy & time on unwarranted worries. Take care.

Mindfulness: Medication and various forms of psychotherapy/ counseling are necessary. Develop a relationship with a good psychotherapist. I would recommend limiting your reading to mindfulness oriented methods. You can be in control of your thoughts and mind. Dan siegel's book entitled mindsight is excellent at is anything written by jon cabot-zinn. Find a method of mindfulness that works for you.
