With your hands...: Just kidding, but honestly, aortic aneurysms cause no symptoms until they rupture, and the signs of rupture are sharp pain, usually described as a tearing sensation. Symptoms can vary depending upon whether the aneurysm is in your belly or your chest. Prevention is the best approach; stop smoking, control your blood pressure, and listen to your doctor's advice.

Usually nothing: Most aortic aneurysms form slowly over time and are completely asymptomatic. If the aneurysm develops a tear (dissection) pain is typically abrupt in onset and severe in intensity.
