A member asked:

My 5 mth is on 2 cereal feedings n 2 veg feedings 4 hrs apart is it ok if due 2 her sleep schdl that she might miss her night cereal due 2 her bedtime?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: A 5 month old does not need so many feedings if any. This was common years ago when parents made their own formula from cow milk, and solids were needed due to deficiencies of homemaid formula. Studies have shown breast or formula is adequate nutrition for more than the first year.Simple solids starting when the kids can sit are offered to train them to transition to table food. Skip the night feed.
