Toxic shock syndrome: This is most commonly caused by toxins from Staph aureus absorbed from the vaginal barrel when wearing tampons, but since the composition of these has changed this has become very rare. It may also be due to toxins from this organism or from Streptococcus pyogenes and the treatment is eradication of the primary infection. Be more specific in your question.
