No: If she has common symptoms of diabetes, e.g., polyuria, weight loss, and fasting blood sugar over 125. She is likely to have a diabetes mellitus.

See below: By definition, fasting blood glucose (after 8 hours with no caloric intake) is less than or equal to 100 and "impaired fasting glucose" is between 100 and 125 mg/dl. Above 126 is defined as diabetes mellitus. See your doctor as there are lost of other reasons why a blood glucose could be elevated.
