Paleo and EFT: "dieting" many times is viewed as a temporary thing; it has a beginning and an end. "lifestyle change" on the other hand is permanent. This is why "diets" never work and it is easy to fall off the track. Commit to making permanent change in your eating, like paleo. Self sabotage can be helped with methods like eft (emotional freedom technique). Google eft for more info on this.

First, get off track: then notice what happend to get you there. Parts of the brain involved with emotion, immediate reaction get sensory input first and react to it (basis of all addiction). You can avoid the triggers, substitute other stuff, or use humor and social pressure to transform your relationship to food. basically, you'll only find that info HERE: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0692496157/

Food plan: low carb and higher protein is healthy and a good way to loose weight. There are good carbs and bad carbs. Good carbs basically include vegetables and bad carbs include junk food. Congrats and continued health. Don't forget that eggs, including the yolks, are god for you. Check w/doc first. "Disease Proof" book by David Katz, MD, has a good overall plan of action to keep you on track.
