A member asked:

My mom had a blood clot because of her labour, apart from that i have no family history in heart diseases. should i still be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: It is unlikely that you have anything to worry about. There are several factors that can contribute to blood clots in late pregnancy and labor. If you are still worried, you should consult your doctor who can do an evaluation of your clotting ability and tell you if you are at risk for a hyper coagulate state.
