Socket: If the socket is open and no clot has formed, this could become painful. Watch for pain and an odor on your breath. If this occurs, it could be dry socket. Stay well hydrated.

The clots do not: Need to be over-abundant & be protruding or visible on the top of the extraction socket. There are more than likely blood clots at the base of the sockets & everything is completely fine. Avoid straws, smoking, vigorous rinsing & forceful expectoration. Always inform your doctor if concerned and ask. A good treatment team will always be receptive to any questions to help put patiets at ease.
