Can you please explain why boosting your immune system is bad for lymphoma?

Who told you?: People with lymphoma often have impaired immune response. Unfortunately there is no good way to boost the immune system until the disease has undergone remission. In lymphoma having an impaired immune system bolstered to normal function would be a good thing.
