A member asked:

What are the causes of an over amount of white blood cells in the brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nonspecific: The white cells indicate local inflammation, perhaps the lingering signs of a central nervous system infection. However, this can be present in other conditions, such as arteritis, sarcoid, multiple sclerosis, carcinomatous meningitis, etc. Perhaps would be explained by your doctor as to why spinal tap was done.
