A member asked:

Once you wear glasses full time, does your prescription really matter anymore?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Glasses Rx Matters!: A glasses prescription is unique to every individual. Some people are near-sighted while others are far-sighted. Some people need glasses only for reading (especially after age 40). It would be very difficult for someone who needs glasses to wear someone else's unless the prescriptions are close to each other. Also, it's important to have the rx checked every year or two to check for changes.
