Is my baby overly hungry?

No: Probably not, as long as they are otherwise well. (this assumes that if you're breastfeeding, your milk supply is doing ok.) if they are growing well, happy, and otherwise healthy, babies are pretty good self-regulators. They will take what fills their growth demands. Some babies need more and all babies need more at certain times.

No: It is unlikely your young baby is overly hungry. Most young babies know when to stop eating. It could be you are reading the baby's cues incorrectly. The baby may cry because he is tired, needs to suck or just wants to be held. You may be interpreting those cries as hunger. In general, i don't worry about fat babies or skinny kids if they are healthy.
