Maybe, and Yes.: This medicine should be used only to treat moderate to severe acne from androgen sensitivity or hirsutism (excessive hair in women). Some doctors don't follow those instructions and have used diane35 as birth control pills, even though it does not always stop ovulation = not effective birth control. Risk of side effects = blood clots. Banned in us & now in france (1/2013) due to deaths.
