Local reaction: If no redness and no fever, it is likely just a local reaction you are dealing with. Elevate if possible (someimtes hard ot do this with kids), have her play in cool water with the hand, and give oral Diphenhydramine (benadryl) every 6 hours until the reaction subsides. If redness, pain, fever -then needs to see doctor.
