Normal: Some blood coming out and pain after surgery may be normal. I would expect that you should have a postoperative visit to discuss this with your surgeon. Returning back is the matter of having you cleared by your surgeon, but you should be symptom free at least to be considered for that.

Lifting will cause you to bear down and increase pressure in your abdominal cavity, this transmits pressure in the veins in your pelvis do avoid that until cleared by surgeon.
