Nasal saline: There really are not any good prescriptions for this type of weather related runny nose in a 5 month old. Your best bet is to use saline drops (just salt water, brand names in us are things like baby ayr, but any generic saline drops are fine). Then, after putting the saline drops in, suck out the nose with a bulb syringe to clear the mucous. Humidity also helps, and hold upright after feeds.
