Depends on type: From your previous question, it sounds like this is most likely a pituitary tumor. These are generally benign. Surgery is endoscopic transnasal-transphenoidal-ie. Basically through the nose. A long wait suggests it is likely benign. They may also be doing more tests to check the endocrine status. Some pituitary tumors can actually be treated with medicines rather than surgery.
