Standing (at first): When you stand, less blood returns from the legs --> lowers cardiac output --> lowers blood pressure. This should be a minor and transient effect. If you have problems with orthostatic hypotension, though, the blood pressure drop may be more severe & prolonged, and may even result in dizziness or in extreme cases fainting.
