Probably not: Ganglion cysts are the most common masses around the wrist. An easy test is transillumination. Go to a dark room with a flashlight and put it completely on the skin on the same side of the wrist as the mass but beside it. If you see the mass kind of glow, its a cyst. Only need to excise those if they become painful. Hope this helps:).
