CML: The bad thing is that you have cancer. The good thing is that you can control this disease and hopefully " cure" it with pill. CML accounts for 15-20%of chronic leukemia. Is associated with abnormal bcr-abl fusion gene-that is becoming the target of treatment. Treatment is oral pill -tyrosine kinase inhibitor- Gleevec or sprycel or tasigna (nilotinib) are available. Prognosis in majority is very good.

Cml: Chronic leukemia, you will need to be on medication for probably rest of life but should live a near normal life.
