A member asked:

X ray says that my heart has minimal enlargement. what does that mean and how is it treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the: X-ray was a standard chest x-ray then this finding of "minimal enlargement" should be taken with a grain of salt. Clinical evaluation and, if necessary, echocardiography are better indicators of underlying heart disease. Don't put too much emphasis on a one-time chest x-ray finding.
