What's a u/e blood test and what's it for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Renal dysfunction: Generally this abbreviation stands for urea and electrolytes and may be used to help assess patients with impaired kidney function. It measures urea levels in the blood along with sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, (sodium bicarbonate) and depending on the laboratory, serum creatinine with an estimate of creatinine clearance.
