Dull achy pain still remains after 3 month old tfcc tear where blood supply is poor. is it healed or is pain masked by cortisone only to return later?

Fracture: I am not sure why cortisone was used. Steroids usually impede healing. Talk to your doc and explain that you're not improving. If you feel like you're not getting the right answer, get a second opinion.

Have it reevaluated: Have the wrist reevaluated. A new MRI may need to be considered.

Not unusual: Depending on the type and location of tear these can remain sore for some time. In fact about 40% of individuals have a tfcc tear and don't know it because its not symptomatic, if you haven't had surgery i would definitely recommend taking the injection. I offer that as a first intervention to my patients and it often gets rid of the pain and avoids surgery. Hope this helps :).
