Neuroma : Is very likely from what you describe . Treated with padding, nsaid, cortisone injection or custom orthotics. Will not sow up on x-ray if that's what it is but get one anyway to make sure no bone pathology.

See a podiatrist: Many things can cause what you describe. Diabetes, lower back problems, a localized 'pinched' nerve, even tight or non-supportive shoes. Podiatrists are the experts in foot and ankle treatments and you need to make an appointment with one. Find one near you on the am. Podiatric medical assoc website, locator option. Make and appointment for exam, evaluation and treatment.
