Benign Prostatic : Hypertrophy or BPH is the enlargement of the prostate gland. This can sometimes lead to urinary issues namely inability to completely empty the bladder. This inability to empty the bladder can further predispose men to urinary infections, frequent urination, blood in the urine and sometimes bladder stones.

Enlarged prostate: It means the gland at the bottom of the bladder is enlarged. It constricts the urethra some causing the flow of urine to be slow in may be interrupted. If it gets worse a person may not be able to urinate leading to kidney obstruction. It is treated by medicines. When severe, surgery is helpful.
