Do you know if a small size kidney on left would cause a lot of pain? i have pain always in the left side back around kidney. have 2 cyst inside.

Kidney pain: Its really to say what's causing your pain with having the opportunity to performed a physical exam. Kidney pain is usually caused by distension of the renal capsule, as in stones, infection, and masses causing obstruction are the most common reasons. Trauma of the kidney can also cause pain. Enlarged renal cysts may also refer pain to the back. A exam +/- MRI would help clear up the diagnosis.
