Neurontin (gabapentin) Taper : Your profile indicates you take cellcep. If using cellcelpt for renal or liver xplant and there is a baseline functional organ compromise, the taper would have to be individualized for you by your doctor. In the absence of seizure disorder, lowered seizure threshold or predisposition to seizure, this can be tapered over a week, and possibly 2-3 weeks in other scenarios.

Taper down slowly.: Medicine like this can be tapered gradually, decreasing dose approximately by 300 mg every few days until off. Stop tapering if pain resumes, and maintain that dose for at least a week, and if stable, can resume tapering again slowly.

See below: You should wean to 300/ 600/600, then 300/300/600, then 300/ 0/300, then 0/0/ 300, then off. Each change should be 3 days.

Neurontin (gabapentin): This is a decision to be made by your prescribing physician who know you well.
