No vaccines: If an child does not get vaccines and gets sick then he could give it to other children (even vaccinated ones). No vaccine is 100% effective, some aren't even 90% effective so there is a chance that the vaccine didn't work on your child and if he's exposed to someone with the illness he could get sick. Also some vaccines wear off over time so if it has worn off your child could get sick.
