How long would retin a (tretinoin) take to clear acne?

Dr. Zoey Goore
Pediatrics 25 years experience
Acne: Most acne treatments, including retin a, (tretinoin) take a minimum of 2 weeks to start working and more likely 6-8 for better effect. Most studies looking at effectiveness of acne medicines look at the skin after 12 weeks. Unfortunately not overnight like most teens would like.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
