Depends: This depends on each individual case. For some people, correcting this type of bite can alter facial features such as lip fullness. It is unlikely to make your jaw longer unless you are having orthognathic surgery as part of the treatment.

In a child Orthodontic treatment can redirect skeletal growth. In an adult, once growth has ceased, altering jaw relationships requires surgical intervention. Altering tooth and/or jaw relationships may alter facial drape. For an informed opinion, see a specialist Orthodontist. Initial Examination usually complimentary.
