Mucocele: Lip biting or trauma may cause rupture of minor salivary gland or duct which leads to salivary deposit in soft tissue, resulting in a small bump and eventually become bluish tint. This small bump is termed mucocele. Mucocele is painless, not dangerous, nonspreading, noncontagious. However, its present may lead to lip biting during normal function. It can be removed easily by dentist/surgeon.
