Trust your doc: When you get stitches, the doctor will determine how long the tissues (fat, muscle, fascia, skin, etc) need to stay together to heal fastest and best. Each suture type has a time to absorb and lose it's strength. Too long and scarring results. Too short and things fall apart. You really cannot make them dissolve any faster than they are manufactured to do so. Trust your doc and your healing.
