Help please! is borderline pd the same as bipolar?

No: There can be similarities since borderline personality disorder can cause mood instability but they are very different since bipolar disorder is a mood disorder whereas personality disorder is a more persistent and maladaptive pattern of behavior. Mood disorders are more responsive to medications while personality disorders need consistent psychotherapeutic interventions.
