Yes: There are medications that are more prone to sedation than others such as seroquel (quetiapine) and zyprexa. It's important to note that people respond to medications differently. I have some patients who are able to take 400mg of seroquel (quetiapine) during the day and be wide awake while others take 50mg at night and it makes them exhausted.
