Yes: Rapid cycling is not uncommon in any of the bipolar disorders. Rapid cycling is frequent and intense mood swings that can occur multiple times in a day. Everyone has mood shifts during the day, but with bipolar 2 disorder, the intensity and agitation that accompanies them would be evidence of rapid cycling.
