A member asked:

So patients have to suffer life time due to myotonia..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What are you asking?: Myotonic dystrophy and myotonia congenita are both genetic diseases that can't be cured. There's supportive measures that can help both. If someone has been less than candid with you or given you false hope of a cure, i'm sorry. No one has a perfect body, and it's my hope that you'll be able to find fitness opportunities and a good life despite your handicap.
