A member asked:

Can myotonia be confused with other neurilogical/ other much casual disease? any help appreciated!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CAN HAPPEN: Myotonia occurs in several different muscle disorders, and may well need to be sorted out. A series of blood tests, and an Electromyogram, with perhaps a muscle biopsy should pin down the diagnosis. Best to find a neurologist who sub specializes in neuromuscular disorders.
