Swollen neck glands: Associated with persistent cough may not be cause for alarm and may be related to a viral uri. Persistent non-tender swelling, however, unassociated with other symptoms, may warrant an exam to rule out rarer, but more serious, causes. Cessation of smoking, then a visit to your pcp, may be appropriate.
