See below: Do you mean Atorvastatin which is a cholesterol drug. On rare occasions it has been linked to rhabdomyolysis and can cause a myopathy that resolves with discontinuation of the drug. A study recently suggested increased risk for diabetes. The best thing to do is to discuss with your doctor the risk and benefits as he knows you best.
