A member asked:

I'm on coumidan do to the anti couagulant antibody, will diallysis effect the control of my blood thickness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Coumadin (warfarin) & dialysis: I think you mean you have the anticardiolipin antibody. This condition is more common in patients on dialysis, and can complicate someone's ability to undergo renal transplantation. Dialysis doesn't make Coumadin (warfarin) difficult to control, but the dietary restrictions needed for those with kidney failure can interfere with Coumadin (warfarin) metabolism. Go to www.
