Possibly: It's hard to tell without a doctor's visit or an xray, but you could have just jammed it like you would your thumb. The swelling from the contusion can cause limitation in the range of motion. If it's not painful enough, then just ice it and keep off of it for another week or so, but if it continues to give you problems and limits your daily life, then that warrants a doctor's visit.

X ray: It is possible that you have a fracture; an xray would provide a more conclusive diagnosis and a treatment plan.

Possible: More likely a capsulitis of the joint. Rest, ice, compression and elevation. If it starts hurting get x-ray to rule out fracture.
