Yes. Autism is part: Of a group of developmental brain disorders, collectively called autism spectrum disorder (asd). 'spectrum' refers to a wide range of symptoms, skills, and levels of impairment, or disability in children with asd. Some children are mildly impaired by symptoms, but others are severely disabled. Symptoms may overlap or coexist with other conditions leading to misdiagnosis. Seek professional eval.

Autism: Absolutely, make sure this diagnosis is made by a mental health professional who specializes in treating autism. Of course is perfectly accepatable to obtain a second opinion. My best.
