Vitamin a toxicity from too many carrots?

Carrot Consumption: Habitual carrot consumption is the cause of yellowing skin. The same fat-soluble pigments (carotenoids) that account for the deep orange color of carrots are responsible. In general, carotenoids are beneficial to health and can protect the skin from sun damage. This color change is not at all dangerous and will fade quickly when one reduces consumption of carrots.

Impossible: It is impossible to get Vit A toxicity from too many carrots because carrots have NO Vit A, only beta carotene that our bodies convert to A as needed. Too many carrots can make one's skin turn yellow-orange. This is commonly thought to be due to deposits of carotenoids in the skin but for a different perspective see http://bit.ly/U3TFoZ For more on the benefits of carrots see http://bit.ly/1jI5iGF
