Possibilities: There are several possible reasons for this: 1) perhaps you haven't been treated with the right antibiotic. Metronidazole 500mg twice a day for 7 days is the only antibiotic effective against trichomoniasis. 2) any and all sexual partners must also be treated, and then tested to make sure that they aren't re-infecting you with the trichomoniasis 3) wrong diagnosis: could be something else?

What medication?: Great answer by Dr. Askew.Treatments with what? Vaginal suppositories / creams are much less effective than oral. Trichomoniasis can be treated w one or multiple oral doses of metronidazole or tinidazole. These are antibiotics which your doctor can order. Metronidazole is 90 to 95% effective and tinidazole is 86 to 100% effective. Was partner treated at same time?
