Similar to the flu: Symptoms are indentical to the standard flu, headache, muscle aches, fever, progressing to cough and or shortness of breath. Severe cases may be associated with exterme shortness of breath and even respiratory failure. Gastrointensinal symptoms may be more prominent that most flus, specifically diarrhea. In any case non of this is specific to bird flu. So discuss with your doctor asap.

Fever, chills, cough: The symptoms for influenza are fairly nonspecific - fever, chills, muscle aches and cough to start... And can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. If you are concerned and sick enough, go to your physician and get checked. If you are very ill, go to an ED and tell them what is going on; but either have an ambulance take you or a friend take you. Driving sick is worse than driving drunk.

Same as flu: Bird flu has symtoms similar to regular flu, though it follows close contact with birds and/or pigs. It has a much higher death rate than conventional flu.
