Teeth? Virus?: While the symptoms you describe certainly could be attributed to teething, it also can describe the symptoms from several other viral illnesses that go around in the summer months. Without looking at him, specifically if he has any rash, low grade fever or redness/sores in mouth and throat, it's difficult to say. As long as he is taking fluids well, offer things like milkshakes, yogurt, etc.

Teething?: It could certainly be due to teething. It would be best to check with your pediatrician to rule out any other causes. Your pediatrician might prescribe some tylenol (acetaminophen) to help make your child more comfortable.

May be teething: The age is just right for your child to be getting his primary first molars. Many infants show signs of distress during teething. The correlation of these stress symptoms with a tooth erupting remain high. Ibuprofen, cold teething rings and/or camilia can help. Try to keep fluid intake high. Ibuprophen will help. See his doctor if it doesn't resolve soon. Good luck!
