Maybe: You are describing breakthrough bleeding. While this is common, there can be conditions associated with it that can be concerning. I would see your physician to have thyroid checked. You could have a polyp or fibroid causing as well. If you are at extremes of weight (thin or heavy) that can cause this type of bleeding too. See your gynecologist and get checked out! best of luck!
