Heartburn?: If by "acidity problem" you're referring to heartburn or reflux disease (gerd), there are many over-the-counter options before heading to see your doctor. Try h2 blockers like ranitidine or ppi like omeprazole. Ask your pharmacist for options. Also avoid tobacco & alcohol. Don't take Ibuprofen & naproxen. Even Aspirin may be enough to irritate stomach lining. If persists despite above, go see doc.
