Dengue precautions: Dengue is transmitted through mosquito bite. Wear long sleeves, use mosquito repellents, and sleep under mosquito nets. If you are living in a dengue region and not just visiting, make sure there is no standing water where mosquitos can breed and cover water storage containers.

Dengue prevention: You can avoid travel to areas where Dengue is endemic. Protect against mosquitoes wi permethrin applied to long pants, long sleeved shirts, shoes / socks & 10% DEET for skin. When in endemic areas avoid being out at dusk or dawn. Ensure that building has good screens on window & use bed netting. Remove sources of standing water near the house.
